Tuesday, July 23rd, 2002 @ 12:09am. Category: KMorg.Ugh, today went not so well. Didn’t get to sleep until 7 this morning for some reason, then got woken up about 10.30 to take my sister to somebody’s house she really shouldn’t be going to. This person, he’s just using her. The day after we got a dvd player, guess who was over here, despite the fact that they weren’t on speaking terms? That’s just one of a myriad of examples that I don’t feel like posting. She’s too needy to see what’s going on and doesn’t want to believe anyone who says it’s any different. I went back to bed for a few hours, woke up, then decided getting up just wasn’t worth it today, too much energy. I slept until 5.15. Maybe I’m getting anaemic.
Ran today. It was fun. But poor Miho, our dog… she just can’t keep up right now, and she’s a young dalmation. I’m an out-of-shape 5-ft person, she should be able to keep up, you know? Of course, she’s pretty out of shape herself, having sat around with my mom and eaten treats since we got her about 10 months ago. I usually end up having to tie her to a water spigot or a tree while I do the rest of my laps.
Not feeling very social today, but I went out anyway. Charles, David, David’s girlfriend Courtney, and Casey and I got junk food and watched Orange County. On our way back to David’s house from Wal-Mart, Casey tells us about how much he’s behind WBush and the war on terrorism and all that while he switches to a country station. Part of it may have been the sugar, but on the way home I just started feeling nauseated. I asked him to explain what parts he liked, since there were some good efforts hidden in the initiative. He couldn’t really explain anything, just spouted off stuff… he asked me what I thought. So I told him about how many things the US government does make me sick, especially with so many of these parts of the war on terrorism and the war on drugs were really doing much more harm than good. For instance, in the war on drugs, we pretty much blackmailed Colombia (for their 1.8 billion aid package we were supposed to be giving them in the first place) into using a fungus-based herbicide called Fusarium oxysporum that not only kills cocoa plants, but also sickens or kills (depending on the hardiness) any other living thing it came in contact with. The US, of course, sprays indiscriminantly. Here’s a link for you to peruse: http://www.globalexchange.org/colombia/sunshine081800.html. And then the war on terrorism… I’ll just point you to this article http://www.wired.com/news/print/0,1294,47312,00.html about the Patriot Bill. That part irks me most right now.
I think the point of that last paragraph was that Casey isn’t really that smart and that people who don’t think for themselves annoy me.
Actually, shortly after our little discussion, Case went into a rant about how all stupid people should be shot. I really tried hard not to laugh, and so did Charles, who was riding with us. It’s best to not make yourself look like a fool and then say that fools should be shot…
I think I’m going to go think happier thoughts now. Actually I’m going to clean up, since the day after tomorrow Ryan comes down. :-)
