I guess it kind of makes sense, as I had some really good friends when I was a freshmen who were seniors. It took me a long time to get any friendships of that caliber after they all moved away and came back less and less frequently.
Eeerrrgg I don’t want to go home this weekend, it’s such a hassle, but I said I’d be there so I will. I don’t want to make my mom cry. :-(
Tonight was kind of odd. After I walked Ryan down to the Oval for his class this afternoon I went back to my dorm and stayed there until I got a call about dinner. During that time I got a package from my parents containing burnt chocolate chip cookies (YUM!!!!! Really! My grandmother always burned them when I was little and now I love them like that.), an unidentifiable kind of cookie (I think sugar cookies), my Science News for that week, and a picture of Jenni. The picture of Jenni (my skinny old lady tuxedo cat) replaced the picture of Ryan and I from prom on my monitor. I really miss Jenni. Anyway we went to dinner and I didn’t talk much. After dinner I thanked them for calling me about dinner and started to walk back to my dorm but Ryan stopped me. I didn’t have anything to do there, but I went anyway. I was surprised he wanted me to come over. Ryan took me home about 9.45 tonight b/c I was sooo tired and had stuff to look up for Vampires and Voodoo.
When we got back to my dorm (after climbing 12 flights of stairs; a group of idiots were at the elevators) we talked about lots of stuff, and he gave me a back massage and it felt very, very good. Then we talked about lots of things I won’t go into here, but they are issues we’ve always had problems with and likely will continue to for a while. It made me sad and I got teary, but then Kea came back and so Ryan and I had a completely different conversation for a while. He said I could e-mail him or leave him an ICQ to continue the conversation but by then I’d forgotten exactly what we were talking about earlier. We’ll end up in that conversation some other time inevitably anyawy.
Going to try some sort of chicken thing at Burger King for lunch tomorrow. I get out of V+V at 1.30 then I don’t go back until 4.30 for my chem recitation. I figure I’ll have brunch between Sociology and V+V, eating that lovely-tasting unhealthy fried noodle-substance that is ramen. Then since Ryan gets out at like 12.30 I’ll get some BK chicken something or other and eat real lunch up in his dorm and talk with him while Paul’s at class.
Oh, Ryan got into the Earth and Beyond beta. It looks like a pretty cool game, still a little buggy even though it’s fairly late into the beta. The graphics look pretty nice for an online game. It even interests me, a die-hard text fiend. So yeah, I may actually pay money for some pretty graphics and play an actual graphical MMORPG with people I know in RL. Yes, the world is coming to an end. :-)
