Even though I know it’s an effort on his part, his actions have gone a long way into getting me to be nice back to him for a change. I suppose I’m a bit shallower than I imagined, but perhaps it will help me get out of this rut.
Today was pretty good in the morning… and not so great later on. I fell asleep in Zoology again today, but falling asleep there is usually OK.
Then the chemistry lab this afternoon… ugh… First of all, it’s a titration lab, which is the Worst and Most Boring Lab Ever Created. Then, the burets… the little spigot that attatches to them doesn’t hold on so well. Due to my lack of dexterity I mangage to fling the poorly-attached thing off and spill ~30-40mL of 1M NaOH all over the lab table not once, but twice while I try to shut off the flow. Interesting reaction NaOH has with the lab tables… when being wiped up it rather takes a bit of the table with it. After all that is over, I find out we measured the volume in the wrong increments for half the lab, so our pH curve vs. the volume won’t look quite right. Then the TA asks us to do the unit 3 quiz from spring of 02, and won’t change the assignment ever though most of us do not have the old tests booklet to find it in. So tomorrow I’m going to hit the library with the only person in class who has it and copy it from her.
Later on tonight Paul, Charles, and I saw the university’s trombone choir for our Understanding Music class. It was cold and misty, and the walk was long. The music was good, save for a horrible arrangement/performance/soloist for Tommy Dorsey’s I’m Getting Sentimental Over You. Such a pretty song, and they butchered it. The soloist’s lips were shot by the time of the piece, and the arranger apparently could not arrange, and the group was missing notes left and right… it was torture. One time the soloist looked out into the audience, and I glared at him. He grimaced and emptied his spitvalve. It definitely wasn’t his accumulated spit that caused his problems, as they continued on into the piece.
I hate to leave this so negative, as after the concert I had a pretty good night, but I’m so tired and have to get up early tomorrow. Suffice it to say that I’m feeling much better right now, and that I think I’ll be dreaming happy dreams tonight.

In one of our science competitions last year we had a Titration event that we had practiced for weeks on… and then failed at. It’s just way too easy to get screwed up on sometimes.

I really have no reason to reply. You’re one of the few intelligent people on here that’s been posting lately an I needed to tell you.
