I like the campus when it’s summertime. The snapdragons finally bloom, and the sprinklers are spurting all over the sidewalks (just perfect for running through). I also did a lot of running around today and didn’t have to wait in line anywhere. It only took me an hour to turn in my timeslip and get my paycheck, transcript, parking pass, and books. In the fall or spring this would’ve taken an entire afternoon.

Getting my transcript was a bit of a hassle. My parents’s check to the bursar had been horribly mangled in the mail by the time the university got it, so they sent it back home with a little form letter. This put a stop on my ability to get transcripts, so I headed to the bursar’s office. Everybody seemed rather amused by the whole situation. There’s no check box for Postal Service-damaged checks. :-)

I went to bed feeling just awful yesterday. Fever, dizzy, sinuses hurting, stomache upset… I woke up feeling rather the same. Walking around in the heat/humidity didn’t help much, but the Sprite I picked up at the bookstore did. I haven’t been drinking nearly as much as I usually do, so perhaps I was just dehydrated.

It’s Sean’s birthday today! :-) He wants to just sit around and play Galaxies… since it’s his birthday I’ll let him. I really want to make it a nice day for him, though. He tells me not to, that it’s just my girl-instincts taking over, but I /know/ it’d make him feel good if I did something special for him. I’ve got a little more running around to do, so maybe I’ll think of something before I go over.
