Sean’s Birthday
Saturday, May 29th, 2004 @ 7:25pm. Category: General.I made brownies and got some really pretty flowers for Sean. He seemed really, really happy. I knew he’d appreciate it! I’ve rarely seen him grin so largely and for so long.
My brownies turned out really, really well, too. I think working in the lab has helped my cooking skills.
We started off watching the entire first season of Upright Citizens Brigade. When I first saw it I was probably in middle school, and I didn’t find it very funny. This time around I couldn’t stop laughing. My favorite sketch is probably the Spanish Homework Date Rape–
“Go on, just hold the textbook. You know you want to…”
“And then I woke up and there was all this Spanish homework done in my writing, and she was gone!”
Reminds me of Woody Allen’s The Whore of Mensa.
We stayed up until about 3am doing random stuff and hanging out… I think we fell asleep sometime between 4 and 5am. Sean woke up at 7am for reasons I am still not entirely sure of, but I begged and pleaded and slept in until 10am. Sleep is something I value highly. :-) We layed around in bed until 12.30pm or so… around 1.30pm I got some Dr Pepper for him and came back here to chill. It’s so fun staying over there. :-)
I really hope to get ahold of Ryan or Paul this afternoon… Ryan wanted to drink last night but I wasn’t in the mood for dealing with a drunken Ryan. I said we’d do something later this weekend instead, so I’m hoping maybe we can all see a movie or go to IHOP for a bit. I still want to see Sean later tonight, so hopefully we’ll do something in the afternoon. Ryan was gone when I came home… and so was Paul… I bet they went to see The Day After Tomorrow. Oh well, it looked like a hit or miss movie. :-)
I found a plugin to convert my old Killingmachines.org posts (released in MT export format) to Blosxom posts, so hopefully all 300-odd posts will be available for your perusing soon. I’ll get comments working when I have time. All the links I had on my KMorg blog will appear back in their usual right-hand menu at some point as well. I’m going to miss the KMorg community… but maybe the server’s fall was a way of telling me it’s time to strike out on my own.
