Studying better…
Friday, September 10th, 2004 @ 1:42am. Category: General.… by skiping the class. Actually, Paul didn’t want to go to French today b/c he’d spent today and yesterday writing a ton of papers. I didn’t feel like walking back in the dark by myself, so I decided to skip too. We got there early, turned our homework in, and left. I went home to tape the football game for Ryan and study the chapter we would have been learning today. I’m going to visit our teacher in her office hours next week, and explain that Paul had taken ill so I stayed home to take care of him. I’ll thence get our other homework that was supposed to be handed back today. Paul was ill enough, he hasn’t had sleep in some time. While I am not currently there taking care of him, he is on AIM and I’m giving him mental encouragement to do his other work. So it wouldnt’ be a complete lie. I turned my phone off so that I have no distractions, just like I was in that blasted class… I spent almost 3 hours and got 2 chapters done. I’m definitely going to class next Tuesday, as there’s grammar stuff I don’t remember and the book didn’t explain well in the last chapter.
I usually do a lot of studying Thursday afternoons. Not this time. This time I spent it chilling on 8bit, then leaving at like 3 to go to campus to do a bunch of stuff there. I did my studying tonight instead. I didn’t get around to reading my pathology book, but it’s not vital to class tomorrow.
This morning I got up at 7am. Nice habit my body’s gotten in to– I meant to sleep in! Anyway, this morning (around 10.30) I lost my phone. I knew it was somewhere in my room but I just couldn’t find it. As my cell phone is not in my current area code, it would be that much more difficult to locate it. I couldn’t call it from the landline w/o incurring long-distance charges. So, I took a long shot and messaged Sean, asking him to please call my cell phone. I wouldn’t make him talk, I just wanted to find the damn thing. Not long after, my phone started ringing w/ Sean’s ringtone, and I was able to dig it out of my bed. I was very pleasantly surprised to talk to him for about 45 minutes this morning. :-) It was nice to just sit and /talk/ with him about whatever, not stressful topics like relationships. It seems he’s really enjoying training at work and is learning all kinds of cool stuff about Sprint PCS. He gets so happy when he learns new things; it’s cute. :-)
