The air conditioner just came on. Yay! :-)

Paul, Charles, and Jason have been trying to get a certain 4-bedroom house to lease in January, so that Jason can come live up here with us. The house is owned by some relative of Jason’s, so it seemed a good choice vs. house-hunting. They are having a lot of trouble finding a 4th roommate, so much so that they even offered the spot to me- a girl. Doesn’t look like they’ll be moving in January, though. Paul and Charles talked to the landlord and he wants a deposit well over 500 dollars (the house rents for 900) and none of us will have that sort of cash anytime soon, let alone utility deposit money (although Charles and mine’s prompt paying of utility bills will help some).

Nobody wants to tell Jason this: he’s had his heart set on moving for a long, long time. To make up for it, Charles is going to let him sleep on the couch if he really, really wants to move anyway. I couldn’t even move into the house with them until the lease ran out here, so it was all rather moot. In any case everybody is moving at the end of the school year– whether into that house or another one. I’m not liking living with people I barely know, supposedly Ryan wants to move in with a friend from work, Paul and Charles aren’t too keen on their badly-maintaned appartments, and Jason wants to live anywhere but the same town he went to high school in. Here’s hoping around Spring Break something nice pops up for us all!
