Grad School?

So I’ve got one of those dilemmas. I’ll be in school either way, but what to do? Where to go? Do I go to pharmacy college, and quite possibly get stuck at a Wal-Green’s where I go on some sort of boredom-induced rampage involving cheap pantyhose and over-priced Kraft Mac & Cheese? Do I pretend like I have something I”m interested in and go to grad school and spend the rest of my life researching? Researching could be fun, but I have no clue what I’m interested in at all, and haven’t spent any of this time thinking about it because I was supposed to go to professional school afterwards. Immunology is pretty interesting, but at OU we’re HUGE on environmental and anaerobic microbiology. Like, we’re the people who do all the speaking at conferences. For immunological or pathological work in Oklahoma I’d probably have to go to our Health Sciences Center, which doesn’t really provide the kind of experience I’m looking for.

Of course, the thing that /most/ bothers me about all this is that I don’t want to go anywhere where I don’t know anybody. I kid to Sean about dragging him off to Wisconsin… but I’m really not kidding so much. I wish Paul and I were on better terms. He begged me everyday for 9 months to go to OU with him– I think I should be able to call that in and take him to grad school with me. It’s not like he’s going to be able to do anything with an English Lit degree, anyway.
