Both my roommates have decided that Sneaker needs to have all of her claws removed, even her back ones.

They won’t listen to me about how this a horrible idea, how the surgery and post-care can go wrong, how it’s been deemed so cruel that many countries have banned it.

Sneaker has /never/ had a discipline problem with me, so maybe I’m just not seeing the need for removing them. I honestly don’t think there is EVER a good reason to declaw. So this is it. This is the final straw. I’ve never really been a big animal rights person, but this is too much. I’ve already been having problems getting along with Amber, and Melissa’s damned Californian attitude has been getting on my nerves. Now that they think it’s a GOOD IDEA to do this, I see there is a very clear division in our personalities and I can see it only getting worse.

Maybe I should knock them out and cut off the first knuckle on their fingers and toes and see how they like it.
