I couldn’t sleep so well. I think I feel asleep around 3am. At least when I woke up again at 9-ish I was able to sleep in until 10.30 without trouble. The leopard was very cuddly, though, and he helped me out some. Also, it was freezing last night. I guess the AC’s set low enough for two people to be comfortable, but without that extra heatsource last night I had to dig out my big heavy comforter. I know it might have been more efficient to adjust the AC, but Maan has suggested that the current temperatures are fine.

I left work at around 2.30 due to sheer boredom. I am not working tomorrow, but Monday and Tuesday of next week are going to be hell. Lots of PCR and DNA extractions to do. I didn’t leave a note or anything. Everybody was gone for a meeting, so I just sneaked out. If I’m asked about it on Monday I’ll just feign illness and claim that I was so out of it I forgot to leave a note. Heck, I was probably too tired to even really do anything important today anyway.

Thai came into town today! I am not sure when he is leaving, but it is sometime tomorrow so that he can go back to his hotel nightshift job without much trouble. It was fun to catch up with him, and I guess Jason too (first time since around the start of April that I’d actually had a conversation with Jason). Jason is really quite an asshole and I have no clue how or why Paul has given him best friend status. Thai is significantly cooler, even if significantly less able to function in the real world. Jason is busy getting drunk as we speak, and he’s a terribly mean drunk so I’m staying out of that for now. I’ll catch Thai tomorrow before he heads back home.

Jay called! I was happy he called and let me know that they all made it OK. He even asked how I was sleeping. :-) He’ll be busy and has to watch the battery strength, but said that he would probably call me again while they’re down there. I hope he does. :-) I think if he doesn’t I’ll have to surprise him on Monday by “accidentally” taking a nap at his place and oops it’s 1am (or whenever he’ll get home). He seems like the kind of guy who would enjoy that, especially if I sleep like I normally do. Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more, SAY NO MORE.

Tomorrow is grocery day! After that I think I will hit up Thai for some hanging-outage and then spend a lazy day with the PS2 at Jay’s whilst I wait for his safe return.
