Cool Toy
Saturday, May 27th, 2006 @ 6:02pm. Category: Linkage.Construct a DOM map of a webpage with a nifty Java app.
Here’s what http://www.effika.net/blog/ looks like today!

The colors:
Blue: for links (the A tag)
Red: for tables (TABLE, TR and TD tags)
Green: for the DIV tag
Violet: for images (the IMG tag)
Yellow: for forms (FORM, INPUT, TEXTAREA, SELECT and OPTION tags)
Orange: for linebreaks and blockquotes (BR, P, and BLOCKQUOTE tags)
Black: the HTML tag, the root node
Gray: all other tags
To the right is the sidebar with all those archive links in tables. To the left are the posts. The small flower jutting out from the middle is the footer, with the header to the left of it.
Oh, and that mass of img tags is the dumpster fire post.
Check out the site– it’s got some pretty cool examples.
