Lists are Fun and Easy!
Tuesday, June 6th, 2006 @ 3:09pm. Category: General.- Jay is back from Kerrville! He is less sunburned but much more tired than last year.
- I went to a potluck party for my old lab on Sunday. It was quite fun, and now I know how to make dessert pizza!
- If you let an onion plant over-grow, it will begin to look like Cthulhu.
- The months June and July are easily confused when I read them.
- If I ignore Kaylee (the cat) when trying to sleep she will resort to licking my chin and gnawing on my nose.
- Sunburns that spout blisters are pretty gross.
- Tahoma is not a font meant for the web, despite what the designer of the new Slashdot look thinks. Tahoma is often used in Windows GUI elements, but there the font has things done to make it look nicer. The font is also not displayed on a bright white background at a weight and size slightly too small, causing the poor kerning to become extremely apparent. The next font on the list in their CSS is Lucida Grande, a font that works wonderfully on the web. If only the designer had actually looked at the site before letting it go live!
- 7-Up, despite being “100% Natural” now, still contains no actual fruit juice.

I love those last two, because I am both a fontophile and chronically picky about “natural” products not actually found in nature.
When I was reading off the contents of the “new” 7-up and laughing, my dad told me to stop being so picky. “They’re natural chemicals!” he said.
I have to know . . . if these ingredients are natural now, what wasn’t “natural” before? ;)

#5 Phoebe will purr really loud, then lick my nose, then swish her fluffy tail in my face, and if I still ignore her she’ll hop onto my dresser and begin randomly knocking stuff off. She does this when she wants me to get up and feed her. The strange thing is that she usually does this when she already has food. If I just shuffle the food around a bit so that it makes a little noise clinking in the bowl then she’s happy and I can go back to bed. Oh, it’s also usually around 4am when she does this.

fruit juice is an ABOMINATION OF NATURE.
