HFCS: effika’s blog

At the vet, Kaylee had shots of Metacam, subq fluids, and Baytril. The Metacam and fluids really helped Kaylee out until the Baytril took effect. She got continualy better all evening (drinking, eating, playing— her fever even broke), and was mostly back to her normal self by the time Jay came home at 11:30pm or so. I still took her back to the vet this morning.

Vet and I still have no clue what was wrong, really, but suspect the Baytril was instrumental in getting her back on her feet. I left with some “tiny” pills that look like horse pills compared to Kaylee’s head. Giving pills to cats is always a challenge. I can’t just wrap the pill up in cheese and expect her to wolf it down like our dog at my parent’s house.

Kaylee’s still not completely in the clear, but she’s looking much better.
