No new bed. :-(
Monday, July 24th, 2006 @ 8:37pm. Category: General.Jay’s friend reneged on her offer. She really should have thought her plans through before promising items to people.
It is very disappointing; I think I was looking forward to getting a new bed more than I thought I was. Probably because we were going to get it right after my birthday, so it was sort of a present.
Oh well. Maybe the money we were going to spend can be put towards something more useful (although what I do not know— beds are pretty damn useful).

“Reneged” is a good word. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

G: Well, I’m glad something amusing came out of it.
Paco: Thanks.

I’m confused by the last comment.

G just enjoys fancy words, and I was happy that my situation called for the use of a fun and fancy word which caused some amusement (since I don’t get a bed now). :-P

Oh, I get it, you were replying to us.
It looked like a log of us saying things, and I was trying to figure out where I said ‘thanks’.

I thought I posted a comment here a few weeks ago. Guess it didn’t take. Anyhoo, I think I wrote something about those neat twin-to-king converters. It looks like a narrow piece of foam with a strap to connect it between the beds, thus reducing the nuisance of the lump between the 2 twins. Maybe that could help you until you find another good deal on a bed (from a reliable source of course).

We actually thought about getting one of those, but we gave the matching-in-height twin bed to Jay’s sister for his nephew’s “big boy bed” (alliteration is fun when you’re two). Now there’s an inch difference between the two (and a very large difference in cushiness).
Dev had an idea of just buying a new set when I get the money, and I do kind of like that idea. But it’ll have to wait until student loans are gone.
