The NWS dudes predicted another warm winter, though not as warm as last year’s. Last year I wore my heavy coat exactly twice.

So it’s October right now, and the leaves are just barely starting to change here. Nothing new, that’s just how Fall is in Oklahoma.

We had to turn the heat on today. Our apartment isn’t insulated at all and the windows are more like suggestions when it comes to keeping weather out. It got into the 40’s outside, so it was quite chilly in the apartment this morning. It doesn’t help that we left the windows partially open, forgetting when we went to bed of the cold front making its way south.

I don’t mind a warm winter, but why the chilly fall? Usually the heat doesn’t come on until mid-November.
