2007 Resolution

Saturday, January 6th, 2007 @ 1:03pm. Category: General.

I resolve to read more. During 2006, in the rush to graduate, I stopped reading for the most part unless it came out of Pubmed.

This rather sucks, and reading the book reviews by Garret has reminded me why I used to take my paycheck to Hasting’s or B&N every month. I don’t have quite the same Relative Free Cash that I did in college, but I’m still going to stock up on books. Perhaps I will actually visit the library here!

  1. Books are fun. I just started The Virgin Suicides, and so far it’s great. It was the first novel by Jeffrey Eugenides, who wrote Middlesex, one of my favorite books ever. So yeah, start reading, otherwise you’re not cool.

  2. I loved the movie of The Virgin Suicides. I’ll have to add that to my list o’ books.

  3. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I plan on watching it right after I read the book.

I’ve come across something interesting in the book that I have never seen: a 100 page chapter. Chapter 3 is long!
