Full vs. Queen Beds
Monday, August 13th, 2007 @ 8:18pm. Category: General. The bedroom we’re currently using as a master bedroom is about 14 feet by 14 feet.
Those of you with full beds sleeping two people, do you enjoy it? Do you wish you had a queen-sized bed? Are you amazed we sleep pretty comfortably on a very old twin?
The difference in price between the mattresses is $50, but is that really worth it for an extra 5 inches in length and 6 inches in width?
We’re also going to have to buy all-new bedding either way. While it’s pretty common to find nice sheet sets in Full sizes, I know that with a Queen it’s guaranteed to be available. It is, unfortunately, also guaranteed to cost more.
What would you do?

Queen. No choice. We upgraded to a queen, I don’t know, 5 or 6 years ago, and love it. When we visit family and have to sleep on a full in someone’s guest room, we really notice the difference. I think the extra height is just as good as the extra width.
For $50, go queen. You’ll use it every night for years to come; you might as well go for the extra comfort, and your room is plenty big enough.

I have a queen and I like it, although the cat takes up half the bed every night. How the hell does she manage that?
