I have a queen and I like it, although the cat takes up half the bed every night. How the hell does she manage that?

Queen. No choice. We upgraded to a queen, I don't know, 5 or 6 years ago, and love it. When we visit family and have to sleep on a full in someone's guest room, we really notice the difference. I think the extra height is just as good as the extra width.

For $50, go queen. You'll use it every night for years to come; you might as well go for the extra comfort, and your room is plenty big enough.
