Folding@Home: because cancer sucks
Saturday, September 1st, 2007 @ 8:02pm. Category: General.Do you guys remember Folding@Home?
I used to fold non-stop (literally) for the Motherboards.org forum team. Then I moved, lost Internet, had to reformat, and forgot about it.
I just started again 3 years later. Now I’m folding for a different team on a forum I’m reading with regularity. (No offense to mobo.org people, if any of you are still reading this, but the current feel of the forums doesn’t fit me.)
I haven’t even completed one work unit yet, but it feels nice to put a C2D to some really useful work, especially while I’m just screwing around on the web. If I had a PS3 you can bet it’d be doing some folding, too (check your xmb for Folding@Home).
