Kaylee is acting 100% back to normal.
Unfortunately, she still has loose stools. This is rather unfortunate as she’s never been a graceful creature (poor eyesight is largely to blame) and has not once, but 3 times run her tail through it. This means her humans (Jay and I) must spot clean [...]

Kaylee was sick last year, in June. She got sick this year, with almost the same symptoms (lethargy, loss of appetite) but added significantly increased thirst and diarrhea. The lethargy and loss of appetite only lasted a day this, time, though.

I thought our cat outgrew her kitten-sized collar recently, so we picked up another, larger collar when we grocery shopped. Kaylee had been enjoying not wearing a collar, and was not pleased with the new one. Oh, she wore it, but she didn’t like it and made it clear.

At the vet, Kaylee had shots of Metacam, subq fluids, and Baytril. The Metacam and fluids really helped Kaylee out until the Baytril took effect. She got continualy better all evening (drinking, eating, playing— her fever even broke), and was mostly back to her normal self by the time Jay came home at [...]

She was fine until at least 3:30am last night, because she wouldn’t leave us alone to let us sleep. This morning she didn’t come out of the other bedroom when Jay went to take a shower, and she ignored me when she finally did come out. She’s lethargic and won’t eat anything. [...]

Miss Kaylee had her first visit to the new vet today. Everything went really well, and I fell like I can actually trust this vet. Plus, their receptionist is nice, which is what ultimately drove me away from the last one.
